Spider Vein Removal Treatment @ Premier Clinic Bangsar KL

Since the K-pop kicks in, aesthetic beauty treatment has gained vast popularity among Malaysians regardless of age. People here are no longer shy-away and having phobias on doing nose jobs, double eye-lids, liposuction… It was quite embarrassed to say this; this was my first aesthetic treatment in a well-established clinic like this. It was indeed a great experience that I would like to share.

Premier Clinic Bangsar, this is another new branch of Premier Clinic which just opened about 3 years.

“Premier Clinic is a one-stop aesthetic clinic located strategically in Taman Tun Dr Ismail [HQ] and Bangsar [Branch], Kuala Lumpur, providing a comprehensive range of non-surgical aesthetic procedures and advanced laser treatments.

Photo session with the good-looking gentleman Dr Kee.
The aesthetic doctor that attended to me that day was Dr Kee Yong Seng. Dr Kee is a credentialed LCP (Letter of Credentialing & Privileging) Medical Aesthetic Practitioner in Malaysia. He is a very well-qualified practitioner with many postgraduate qualifications include Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, Diploma in Primary Care Dermatology from Institute of Dermatology Bangkok and Graduate Certificate Dermatological in Primary Care from the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia.  Sounds really good, right?  Dr Kee publishes his own blog as well on his experiences on the various aesthetic treatments, you may follow him at http://www.KLasethetic.com .

There are 5 doctors in Premier Clinics. You may check out more information on the other Premier Clinic doctors’ profiles at http://premier-clinic.com/site/our-doctors.

After a quick consultation with Dr Kee with my concerns, he suggested me to do Spider Vein/Vascular Lesion Removal where these unsightly veins had been following me for at least 7 years since my first pregnancy and it had gone worst after my second pregnancy. According to Dr Kee, these spider veins could be diminished instantly with their laser machine.

A little sharing of knowledge on laser vein removal. Laser therapy is an easy, fast and the most effective treatment for the very small spider veins and not used to treat large varicose veins.  Laser therapy has been used in the medicine for more than 30 years. The laser uses a focused beam of light. In the treatment of veins, the wavelength of light is targeted to the pigment in the blood. The laser heats up the small vein and destroys it. The laser beam is focused and does not damage the nearby skin tissue. Over a period of four to six weeks, the vein is reabsorbed by the body and disappears.

The treatment room was very clean, tidy and conducive.

This was the laser machine used for Spider Vein/Vascular Lesion Removal.

The nurse applied the numbing cream on both side of my legs for the treatment. Gonna wait for 20 minutes prior to the laser procedure.

Dr Kee used the laser to heat-up and destroy the spider veins; the laser when touched on the skin was like a pin and needle poking tingling sensations. Fortunately, they had a cooling system which prevents the tip of the laser from getting hot ^_^!
The whole treatment was fast which took about 20 minutes. Surprisingly the spider veins were disappeared immediately. I had to admit that I was amazed by the aesthetic technology advancement nowadays. No wonder people can become so addicted to plastic surgery now.

Watch the 10 seconds video clip below to find out more about the process of the Spider Vein/Vascular Removal treatment.

The BEFORE and AFTER treatment pictures.
BEFORE: There spider veins were visible as reddish and blue-greenish crooked lines.
AFTER: The spider veins were gone. However, the skin above the veins was left with reddish, cat-scratch appearance. This was due to the aftermath of the laser treatment. Dr Kee had prescribed me a cream to be applied locally twice daily for a week. He said these rashes generally would disappear over the next two days.
In short, I'm quite satisfied with the results, and hopefully the effect will remain. I was advised to avoid direct sun-lights, avoid taking heavy weights and moistening my skin diligently everyday to prevent the development of new spider veins.
