PHARMA AGM

Every year, many senior shareholders looking forward to attend AGM. PHARMA AGM is another exciting AGM. This year, the AGM was organized in The Royal Chulan Damansara Hotel. As usual, this AGM was crowded with specially-invited guests as early as 8am even though the meeting only started at 9.30am.

Let me summarize the whole event in pictures below..

Inside the meeting ballroom, many empty seats could be seen. Unlike public bank, the crowds were all busy outside the meeting room shopping for pharmacy items, blood tests and food.

What were inside the goodies bag? A big bottle of body shampoo, a medium bottle of hand wash, a small bottle of hand sanitizer and a Pharmaniaga ball pen.

A Breakfast Food Coupon was given to each guest.

Wonder what was inside? I would say the breakfast set was nice.

Free flow drinks were provided throughout the meeting starting 7.30am.

Royal Rx Pharmacy (another retail subsidiary owned by PHARMA) booth in the AGM. Almost all products were sold at 10% discount. Many shareholders enjoyed their shopping spree there. Free membership was given out on that day as well.

In a nutshell, I would say this was an enjoyable event where one can enjoy good food, get their health checked, collect useful freebies and enjoy pharmacy shopping spree at the same time ^_^!

Silky Smooth Coconut Jelly

Really simple with agar-agar strips, rock sugar, a fresh coconut and some water, you may turn it into a delicious healthy dessert.

Silky Smooth Coconut Jelly

Ingredients:-

• 500 ml fresh coconut water (approx.  1 coconut )
• Coconut meat from the coconut
• 350ml water
• 50gm rock sugar/granulated sugar
• 5 strips of agar agar strips (5 strips more if you want a firmer texture )

Preparation:-

1. In a pot, boil 350ml of water together with 50g castor sugar and simmered till you get 250 ml of syrup.
2. Pour 500ml fresh coconut water into a heavy pot and add in the agar agar strips till it dissolves.
3. Add in the syrup and under MEDIUM HEAT, boil the mixture till all the agar agar strips fully dissolved.
4. Divide the coconut meat equally into jelly molds. Pour the coconut mixture into every jelly mold.
5. Once they have cool down, chill them in the fridge for 4 hours until it has set.

PBBANK AGM

Not sure how many of you all have experience of attending AGM before? I would like to share a story of mine here.

28^th March 2016 is a big day for Public Bank as all the shareholders got a chance to meet each other and meet the Director of the company face-to-face during this Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The registration started at 7.30am and the meeting started at 11am sharp. We reached there at about 10.30 am. The crowd was unbelievably huge until all the seats are full and many shareholders even sat on the floor and staircase outside the hall waiting for their idol Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Teh Hong Piow.

After registration, we proceeded to the door gift counter for gift redemption with the vouchers given. Each shareholder was only allowed to redeem 1 set of the gifts and a lunch pack. And the Proxy appointed was entitled get a set of the door gifts as well BUT WITHOUT the lunch pack when attending together.

As usual the meeting was just a summary of the corporate biz performance in 2015 and the company’s planning for the future. It seems like everybody was happy with the board's decision. 1 1/2hrs later, the food counter was opened. Many shareholders lined up for the lunch pack. The food was good, just that the portion wasn't enough for big eaters like us :(

Overall, it was a good experience to attend AGM. It was an eye-opening event for youngsters like us. Many senior citizens came, it seems like a great event for them to kill their time by attending this kind of function and meet their friends at the same time on yearly basis.
