Outback Steakhouse is a boisterous Australian-themed chain famous for their steaks and seafood. After their very first outlet in Bukit Bintang Park in year 2001, they finally opened their second outlet in Nu Sentral Mall.

We were really eager to taste their signature steaks, but with a tight budget. After spending 5 minutes browsing over their menu, we decided to choose the following dishes which were enough for 3 persons at the budget of RM100.

BBQ Half Chicken

This is a half smoked roasted chicken glazed with their special BBQ sauce together with coleslaw and Aussie Fries. We loved this BBQ chicken, I must say it tasted much better than Kenny Rogers.

Grilled Salmon

This is a grilled salmon fillet served with rice pilaf and fresh seasoned veggies. The fish was really fresh and perfectly seasoned without salt-overloaded.

Outback Special

This is their signature 6 oz. sirloin seasoned with bold spices. We chose medium well-done (“half” raw). This was really one of the best steaks we had ever tried in Malaysia, the beef was tender and juicy!

All the price above stated in the menu has included GST 6%. Our total bill turned out to be RM109.65 after the service charge of 10% which was still within our budget.

Overall, thumbs up for this steakhouse. Undeniably they are serving good steaks and fresh seafood with prefect control of their seasonings and most importantly no over-dosing of salts and condiments.
