The Axiata National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme (NSSLDP) is a 5-year programme open to all Year 6 primary school students who are looking to gain the upper hand over their peers in terms of the development of their critical skills and command of leadership competencies.

What is the coverage of the scholarship for the National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme?

Scholarships for the programme are awarded on either a full or partial basis, and is subject to eligibility and household income. Priority will be given to students from low income and families from rural areas.

What are the minimum requirements to apply for scholarship to the National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme?

Applicants must display the following:

1. Applicants must achieve a minimum of 6As (Core Subjects: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, and Science) in the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) trial examinations*.
2. Applicants must consistently be a top ten student in Standard 4, 5, and 6 of his/her primary school.
3. Applicants must display active involvement in extra-curricular activities, and be proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in other languages would be a plus.

What is the application process?

There are three stages to the application process for the National Secondary School Leadership Development Programme:

1. Online Application.
2. Entrance test – administered by Kolej Yayasan Saad.
3. Residential based selection – administered by Kolej Yayasan Saad.

       v.            Applicants are required to fill up the form at www.axiatafoundation.com. It is crucial that the applicant fill up each sections of the form completely and accurately.

When will shortlisted applicants be offered?

Shortlisted applicants will be informed of their placement offer no later than December each year.

How many applicants will be offered a scholarship per cohort?

Axiata Foundation is looking to offer to no more than 30 scholarships per cohort.
